Restoration of 1972 Plymouth Cuda

This car was brought to our shop in August 2005. It's a 1972 Plmouth Cuda 318 car. It will be a total ground up restoration. This car is getting the best of everything. It will have a Hemi crate motor installed in it too.


Rust in rear drivers side window area

These cars are known for rusting at rear window filler and sail panels under the vinyl tops.

We will replace this trunk with a new aftermarket trunk to be like new.

We cut the rusty floor board out and replaced it with new aftermarket floor board.

We are in the process of cutting the rear fenders to fit as they are also after market fenders.


Tail Panel

I spent many hours on this tail panel and now it's almost ready as I am fitting to the body and ready to weld.

The holes have been patched with metal and welded, shrunk and ground to look like new again.

This tail panel turned out nice and total new metal replaced in bad spots. Lots of patience....


Primer and sealer

We have all body parts straight and new and the Primer is on the entire car. We have sealed the seams and ready for jamming the doors, painting the frame and trunk, engine area so we can get the motor and parts put in before final exterior paint goes on.

Install Doors & fenders

Installing the door and fenders that are not painted and in primer as we paint the car when engine is in and all parts on car, excluding interior.


Install rear axle and new brakes

5.7 L Hemi Engine

Hemi engine out of a 2005 Ram 1500 pu that has 5K on it. All modern computer and electronic guages ordered for it to run like a modern day Hemi car.

It took almost to date one year to do this 1972 Plymouth Baracuda and it's awesome!!!
